Harlem Renaissance Ball

The Abyssinian Development Corporation kicked off its 20th Anniversary celebration with the Harlem Renaissance Ball, which was held on the playground of PS 161 at West 135th St. and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Blvd. in a custom 230' x 50' tent. Mayor Bloomberg, City Comptroller Thompson and Cicely Tyson were among the guest who honored 4 individuals, for their outstanding community service. The evening's celebration included performances by Grammy-Award winning artist Chrisette Michele, and composer/producer Ray Chew and the legendary Roots Crew. GES led the coordination of this event, which provided a wide scope of services including, consulting for event flow, development and execution of a technical plan for video, audio design, lighting design, equipment systems, on site technical direction, event and stage management.
